Day 1:
Your first night you could head south and stay on the western side of Wave Break Island only 100 Meters from Charis fresh seafood and The Grand Hotel. Go over for a casual meal or fire up the barby, crack a bottle of wine, sit back and relax while you watch the sun go down over the wonderful Gold Coast Skyline. It is a must see.
Day 2: From there you could continue south and dock in Marine Stadium outside of Sea World. Use your dingy to go ashore and visit Marina Mirage, explore all it has to offer and have lunch at one of the famous restaurants. There are plenty of great places to eat such as, indian, italian, seafood, a great pub, Hogs Breath Café or just grab some McDonalds.
Day 3: To work off all that good food you may like to walk along our famous spit and look out for the dolphins, whales and turtles or continue along the beach to Surfers Paradise. It is about a 30 minute leisurely walk to the centre of Surfers or perhaps you would like to try some celebrity watching at Main Beach’s trendy alfresco restaurants or coffee shops. Every 2nd Saturday at Marina Mirage is the gourmet farmers markets, not an experience to be missed.
Day 4: The following day head about 2 hours north to South Stradbroke Island (Tipplers) and explore all the island has to offer. Go for a half hour walk or catch the tractor ride to the beautiful deserted beach that overlooks Surfers Paradise. On the way back you may like to call into the resort and enjoy a drink around the pool and beer garden, sit back listen to the live band and enjoy the friendly island atmosphere.
Day 5: The next day it’s time to have some fun. The island offers many water sport activities. These include tube rides; paddleboats, parasailing, jet ski’s or a 15-minute seaplane ride over the island & the gold coast is recommended. Whatever activities you choose you will have a great time. Finish the afternoon off with a BBQ.
Day 6: If you want to get a bit more secluded and relax with crystal clear water and white sands surrounding you then head to Northern Bedroom or Millionaires Row as the locals call it. It is where North Stradbroke and South Stradbroke islands meet. It is about an hour from Tipplers and the views are to die for. Here the kids can enjoy riding down the sand dunes on cardboard slides, chase the thousands of soldier crabs or swim in the sheltered swimming areas. Fishing is usually very good in this area.
Day 7: The next day you could head to Sanctuary Cove for some window-shopping around their quaint little village or have a delicious lunch or dinner at one of the many fine restaurants. There is a beautiful old cinema showing an array of plays, concerts or films. Dinner is also available while watching your show. Bookings are necessary phone: 07 55 77 8999
